Today marked the 52nd-year anniversary of Manila Zoological and Botanical Garden.

It is a 5.5-hectare (14-acre) zoo located in Manila, Philippines that opened on July 25th, 1959. The Manila Zoo and Botanical Garden receives millions of visitors every year, and is especially popular with visitors on weekends. It is more specifically located along Adriatico St., corner Quirino St., Manila, the main entrance of the zoo is fronting the Paraiso ng Batang Maynila (playground).

Mali, is an Asian elephant born in Sri Lanka.  She was 3 years old when she arrived at Manila Zoo.

Child (below 4 ft) – P20.00, Child (above 4 ft) and Adult- P40.00.  If you are Manila resident – P20.00 (Just present valid ID like barangay ID, Driver’s License, TIN ID, School ID)

How to get to Manila Zoo

From Cavite: Ride a bus (San Agustin) going to Lawton then drop off at the corner of Adriatico St.

From North/LRT:  drop off at Quirino LRT Station. Ride a pedicab to Manila Zoo. (Alternative, from Marc 2000 tower, ride a jeep with signboard – Dakota, it will pass by the entrance of Manila Zoo)

From Alabang: Ride bus going to Lawton then tell the conductor to drop you off at Quirino LRT (then see above).

From Laguna: Ride bus bound to buendia LRT Station. Take LRT to Quirino station (then see above).

From MRT to LRT: Take southbound to MRT Taft Station and take LRT to Quirino station (then see above).
